About three months after our return from Egypt, Elizabeth had the opportunity to present her completed Independent Study project. Her project included a working model of Nile inundation and a story about how the priests used the nilometer to set taxes. Her project was selected among the best that year, and was featured in the Media Center for the Independent Study evening. The jaunt through Egypt was of great help to her research. Not only could she see and experience what she was researching first hand, but she had the opportunity to interview our guides about her project. A trip through Egypt could inspire anyone to creativity!
